Ken Creighton

Ken Creighton is the RICS Director of Standards, leading the organisation's contribution to the development of international standards. He also oversees RICS' education and qualification standards and the Professional Statements regulated by RICS.

Ken chairs both the International Property Measurement Standards Coalition and the International Construction Measurement Standards Coalition. These Coalitions are made up of professional bodies around the world dedicated to the create of one shared consistent standard to supporting the market in a number of ways including the provision of consistent information for valuation.

Ken joined RICS from the IFRS Foundation, where he was director of Content Services. In this role, Ken worked with countries adopting IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) as issued by the IASB (International Accounting Standards Board). As well as supporting adoption of the standards internationally, Ken led the Foundation’s content dissemination processes, which included translation, licensing and product sales.

Before joining the IFRS Foundation, Ken was a senior manager at Ernst & Young. During his tenure there Ken led a number of international projects while based in the Washington DC, Madrid and London offices. Previous to joining EY, Ken was an associate analyst at Prudential Securities' Washington research office and also a legislative correspondent in the United States Senate.

Ken holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
