Eleanor Joy

Eleanor Joy has specialised in business and intangible asset valuations for over 30 years with PwC. She has overseen a wide variety of assignments. She has worked extensively for clients in the Forest, Paper & Packaging Industry throughout North America. Eleanor has also assisted lawyers and their clients in quantifying losses, which resulted from shareholder or contract disputes. She has also provided reports, which comment on the reports of opposing experts. She has qualified as an expert witness and has given evidence in the British Columbia Supreme Court and in various arbitration hearings.

Eleanor is Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator. She served 7 years on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV), ultimately chairing the CICBV Board between June 2011 and 2012. Eleanor was awarded a Fellowship Designation (FCBV) by the CICBV for her significant contributions to the Business Valuation Profession.

Between 2011 and 2014, Eleanor served on the IVSC's Advisory Forum working group and was appointed to the IVSC's Professional Board in October 2014. She joined the IVSC’s Membership and Standards Recognition Board in September 2016.
