Brendan Gallagher

Brendan has been valuing capital equipment for 17 years both in his previous role at Ernst & Young Australia and in his current position as leader of the capital equipment valuation practice for Ernst & Young Canada.

Brendan regularly provides valuation services to clients in many different geographical regions, and as such routinely deals with valuation issues that arise in the context of financial and tax valuation standards and constantly interacts with regulatory bodies. He is responsible for leading multidisciplinary valuation teams within EY, including machinery and equipment, business valuation and real property valuation.

He has completed valuation projects in a wide range of industries for mergers and acquisitions, insurance, financial reporting, liquidation and tax purposes. He is responsible for performing and managing analyses, guiding company management through methodologies and results, as well as answering third party queries in relation to results. Brendan’s role also includes the valuation review of appraisals performed by third parties for EY audit clients.
