The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), is a non-profit organisation dedicated to establishing and promoting global valuation standards to serve the public interest.

Our mission

Our mission is to enhance the quality and credibility of valuation practices worldwide. We achieve this by:

  1. Creating robust International Valuation Standards (IVS) that ensure consistency, transparency, and comparability in valuations.
  2. Promoting the adoption of IVS and fostering valuation professionalism through Valuation Professional Organisations (VPOs) across the globe.

Our structure

The IVSC is governed by a Board of Trustees comprising former finance ministers, renowned financial and securities regulators, leaders of valuation professional organisations, and standard-setting authorities. We also appoint independent technical boards of international experts to spearhead the development of IVS. Our headquarters are located in London, UK.

Why is valuation important?

Valuations hold a pivotal position in the global financial landscape, acting as key drivers for economic prosperity.
