Leading Bank of England Risk specialist appointed to IVSC Standards Board

The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ragveer (Raj) Brar to its Standards Board.

Currently working at the heart of regulation in the UK as Manager of the Valuation & Controls Team at the Prudential Regulation Authority, Bank of England, Raj brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Raj comments: “I am pleased to be able to bring my experience to the IVSC Standards Board and will work to strengthen the valuation profession in terms of ethics, influence and quality, both from a technical and controls perspective. I look forward to being able to contribute more broadly, whilst continuing to work for a more effective valuation profession in the banking industry.”

Sir David Tweedie, Chairman of the IVSC Board of Trustees adds:

Raj’s appointment to the Board by the IVSC Board of Trustees was announced at the IVSC Annual General Meeting which took place in Tokyo on 9 November 2013.
