Co-organised by the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) and the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore (IVAS), this series seeks to address the evolving landscape of valuation practices in the Asia-Pacific region.

In our inaugural webinar, ValuAsia Connect: Environment, Social, and Governance, we will provide an update on our latest edition of the International Valuation Standards (IVS) and explore the key Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors and the regulatory environment that ought to be considered when valuing a business, asset, or liability. Led by industry experts and valuation leaders, this webinar will delve into crucial topics such as integrating ESG metrics into valuation models, evaluating the financial impact of sustainability initiatives, and navigating regulatory implications for sustainable valuation practices.

Nicolas Konialidis
IVSC Asia Director
Business Valuation Board Technical Director

Nicolas Konialidis is the Director (Asia) of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). He is also the technical director of the IVSC’s Business Valuation Board. He has three decades of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, and valuations.

Nicolas was previously the Managing Director at a consultancy specialized in advising, valuing, and transacting in intangible assets.

Between 2010 and 2017, Nicolas was a corporate finance advisor and Investor Relations officer for corporate clients in several industries, including Renewable Energy.

From 1994 to 2010, Nicolas spent sixteen years in equity markets in Paris, London, New York, and San Francisco in an array of functions from trading to Institutional sales for firms such as SE Banken (Enskilda), Credit Agricole and Sanford C. Bernstein, a subsidiary of AllianceBernstein.

Nicolas is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (CVA). He is an Associate Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA-BV).

He has lived in Singapore since 2009.

Srividya Gopal
Kroll Managing Director & Southeast Asia Leader, Valuation Advisory Services
IVSC Business Valuation Board Member

Srividya Gopal, Managing Director & Southeast Asia Leader at Kroll, boasts a 26-year career in valuations, transactions, and management consulting.

She pioneered American Appraisal’s Singapore operations, later acquired by Duff & Phelps and rebranded as Kroll. Srividya advises global and Asian investment funds, sovereign wealth funds, private equity, and corporate clients across diverse sectors like technology and life sciences.

A key figure in standard-setting bodies, she’s a member of IVSC’s Business Valuation Board and has contributed to RICS regulatory frameworks.

Srividya’s involvement in industry working groups, like the IA Disclosure Industry Working Group, reflects her dedication to shaping valuation practices. With qualifications including Chartered Valuer & Appraiser (CVA) and membership with RICS (MRICS), she’s a beacon of excellence in her field, sought after for her expertise and leadership.

Keoy Soo Earn
Deloitte Private Leader & Private Equity Leader, Southeast Asia

Soo Earn is the Global Financial Advisory Deloitte Private Leader.  He also leads the Southeast Asia Deloitte Private & Private Equity practice. He has extensive deal experience in leading and supporting strategic and financial investors in their domestic and cross border transactions. Soo Earn has acted as an independent expert on a number of dispute cases, handled numerous valuation and modelling engagements for M&A, regulatory & taxation, and financial reporting purposes.

Soo Earn is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of Singapore, a Chartered Valuer & Appraiser (CVA) of Singapore, an Accredited Member – Business Valuation, American Society of Appraisers and an Insolvency Practitioner. He has been recognized as one of the world top 300 IP Strategists for multiple years by the Intellectual Asset Management.  He is also a member of the Advisory Council of CFA Singapore.
